This recipe of Oats Rava Idli is a similar one tweaked to incorporate some instant cooking oats along with semolina/rava. While I was planning on making regular rava idlis, I noticed that I still had oats that I had to use up.

A quick and instant recipe of idli made with oats.
This recipe is similar to the way we make Rava idli. apart from oats, I have also used rava or cream of wheat in the batter.
On occasions, I do add few veggies in the batter and at times I make the idlis without any veggies.

Dry roast oats and cool it and then grind it. Mix grind oats in a mixing bowl. Add semolina. In a small pan heat 1 sp cooking oil. Add mustard seeds and when mustard seeds splutter add chana dal and saute for 2 minutes. Add curry leaves and broken cashew and saute for 1 minute. Mix this tempering in oats semolina mixture. Add curd and salt and mix all ingredients. If needed add water. Keep aside for 15 minutes..

Add lemon juice in the batter. Check the consistency. If needed add water. Mix eno fruit salt and mix quickly. Now grease the idli mould and put 1 tb sp batter in each mould. Put it in pre heated pressure cooker in which 1 glass water is heated and steam for 12 minutes on medium flame. Switch off the flame. After 15 minutes open the lid and demould the idlis and transfer it in a plate..
