Besides taking me around to see some of Jordan's history, Laura and Ray kindly put me up at their own house. As a guest in their home, they made me feel very welcome and one night Laura cooked Oozie, a Jordanian dish.

Ingredients of Jordanian Oozi

Prepare of onion cut into 4 pieces.

Jordanian Oozi step by step

In a clean pot…put your onion, salt, cardamomum, bay laurel leaves, cinnamon stick and your chicken after you cut it into pieces and let it bowl for 45 minutes intel the chicken is perfectly cooked. put chicken on side and filter the broth from from all the substance and keep it on the side..

On another pot, but your ground beef with one tablespoon of vegetable oil, let it cook for 7 minutes and the add your mixed veggies, black pepper and salt..

Now for the rice, on a clean pot put your rice, a tablespoon of vegetable oil, Oozi spice and the chicken broth you kept on the side earlier. cook it for 40 minutes..

Grill the chicken or fry it, it’s up to your taste..

When your rice is done, on a big plate you put your rice, the vegetable and beef mix on top and finally the chicken..

Place the cut up chicken in a pot along with enough chicken stock to cover the chicken.
