Ogbono soup with local chicken instructions

  1. Wash the chicken and cut into sizeable pieces.

  2. Put them in a pot and then add some diced onions, 2 cubes of seasoning cubes, salt, add a little water and put it on fire..

  3. Blend the ogbono and crayfish together and set aside.

  4. Wash the dry fish and kpomo, cut into sizeable pieces, wash the oziza leaves and slice it, then set them all aside..

  5. Put the blended ogbono in a bowl, add a little palm oil then use a wooden spoon to stir it until it mixes well with the oil..

  6. Once the chicken is ready, put it down and then drain out the stock and set aside.

  7. Place a clean pot on fire, once its dry add some palm oil and allow to heat for about 2 minutes..

  8. Pour in your diced onions and then the ogbono than was stored in palm oil.

  9. Stir for about 30 seconds and then add the meat stock. If the meat stock is not enough, then you can add some water.

  10. Add the local chicken, dry fish, kpomo, pepper, salt ro taste and seasoning cubes. Stir well and then cover the pot.

  11. Keep checking and stiring to ensure it doesnt get burnt..

  12. Once the soup is well cooked, add the sliced oziza leaves, stir and allow it cook for another 30 seconds and then your ogbono soup with local chicken is ready..

  13. Serve with any swallow of your choice.
