  1. Place your pot on fire and pour the oil,cut your onions into the oil and let it fry,when i mean fry let it fry till it start to darkens but dont let it burn.

  2. Put you meat direct into the fried onions, add your chopped garlic and and some salt and thyme cook for like 30 mins(no water).

  3. Then pour your blended atarodo and shombo,let it simmer for like 20mins,.

  4. Then add water,curry, thyme and seasoning cubes and close the pot and let it boil.

  5. Next you put your washed beans and let it cook for 30mins then add in your rice and greens peas afterwards.

  6. After 20 mins you put in your slizes carrot and green pepper and cabbage and turn your heat to lowest till its done.

Nigerian rice and beans Jollof is basically a combination of rice and beans cooked in a tomato stew.

It is nutritionally richer than plain jollof rice because of the addition of beans.

Making it is not as straight forward as making Nigerian jollof rice which is a one-pot dish also, rice and beans Jollof is not as popular.
