Rawa upma and orange juice. Upma is one of the most easiest breakfast and can be done in a jiffy. Though I have posted many types of upma including vegetable rava upma, I realized that I did not post the most basic upma recipe (without any vegetables). Since it is a very basic recipe, I have given step wise pictures to make it easier for beginners.
Add in vegetables to make it more wholesome and filling.
This one is a great meal option for weight loss too.
Make the Upma in ghee, it adds a delicious flavour and aroma in this Rava Upma recipe.

Ingredients of Rawa upma and orange juice

Prepare 3 tablespoon of Rawa / semolina.

You need 2 teaspòon of Olive oil.

Prepare to taste of Salt.

You need 1/2 tsp of Green chilli chopped.

Prepare 1/2 tsp of Coriander leaves chopped.

You need 5 of Curry leaves.

It’s 2 tablespoon of Onion chopped.

Upma is a flavorful South Indian breakfast dish made from rava or cream of wheat.
This traditional dish involves cooking roasted rava in water that has been flavored by ghee (or oil), cashews, urad dal (lentils), chana dal (husked chickpeas), onion, ginger and additional herbs and spices.
Roast the rava till golden brown.
In a karahi, heat the oil fry asafetida, sputter mustard seeds and add whole red chili, fry the chopped curry leaves and green chili.
Rawa upma and orange juice step by step

At first take a pan then poured the oil, then the all dry fruits (kaju, peanuts, kismis)soute in this, and keep aside,.

Next use the same pan,add oil then add hing, curry leaves, red chilli then poured the onion chopped, tomato chopped, green chilli chopped, turmeric powder salt then fry it very well,.

Next poured the rawa, then saute, then add the fried dry fruits and add tittle bits of water for 2 to 3 times,cook it for 5 minute,.

Now it is ready, serve it with fresh orange juice or curd,.
Then fry chopped onion and ginger.
Add water and salt and bring it to boil.
Add roasted rava and cook it till mass is dry.
Heat a pan and dry roast semolina in low heat.
Stir occasionally to prevent the bottom part from burning.
