Ofo soup. Ora (Oha) soup is native to the South Eastern Nigeria. It is a very traditional soup similar to the bitterleaf soup but cooked with Ora leaves. Nigerian Banga Soup or Ofe Akwu is native to the Niger Delta and the South Eastern parts of Nigeria.

The soup can be enjoyed with cassava fufu, pounded yam, gari, plantain fufu, yam flour and others.

Ofor seed is highly medicinal and an excellent seasoning ingredient for ethnic soup.

It is an excellent source of anti-oxidants and very good for the preparation of soups, stews, and sauces.

You can have Ofo soup using 10 ingredients and 3 steps. Here is how you cook that.

Ingredients of Ofo soup

  1. You need of Ofo.

  2. It’s of Stockfish.

  3. It’s of Meat.

  4. Prepare of Pepper.

  5. You need of Palmoil.

  6. Prepare of Crayfish.

  7. You need cubes of Maggi.

  8. You need of Salt.

  9. You need of Onion.

  10. It’s of Seasoning.

Ofor seed is very nourishing and rich in vitamins.

Okazi soup is a thickened vegetable soup from eastern Nigeria.

It is similar to Ofe Owerri, the main difference being that Ofe Owerri is thickened with cocoyam (Owerri court), while Okazi soup is thickened with achi, ukpo or ofo.

Each thickener has its own peculiar flavour.
