  1. It’s 1/2 kg of sea fish.

  2. It’s 3-4 of kudam Puli (cocum).

  3. Prepare 1 cup of +4 tbsp warm water.

Grandma's Puli Milagu Meen step by step

  1. Soak kudam Puli in 4 tbsp warm water for 30 minutes.

  2. Grind ginger garlic to paste.

  3. Heat 2.5 tbsp oil in earthen vessel, splutter mustard seeds.

  4. Add fenugreek seeds and saute until golden brown.

  5. Add ginger garlic paste and shallots with curry leaves. Saute until onions are golden brown.

  6. Add turmeric and red chilli powder. Mix well.

  7. Add kudam Puli water to the vessel, salt and 1 cup water. Mix well.

  8. Add 1 piece of kudam Puli to curry. Bring to boil.

  9. Add fish to curry. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes over low heat.

  10. Add 1 tbsp coconut oil and garnish with curry leaves. Serve hot with steamed rice.
